Earth Day Reflections from an Electrical Engineer: There Is No Planet B

As an electrical engineer and someone deeply involved in the fusion of technology and sustainability, I feel compelled to not only commemorate this day but to encourage action, especially among young learners and professionals across the world, in Africa , and more specifically, Uganda . A Glimpse into the History of Earth Day The very first Earth Day was celebrated in 1970 , triggered by public outrage over environmental degradation in the U.S., notably the 1969 Santa Barbara oil spill (more information) .
